
Carl comes from a running background and is based in Seahouses, Northumberland. He began competing in duathlons in 2013 and soon became a Great Britain Age Group (25-29 years) Duathlete . After a couple of years of success he was selected for the Great Britain Elite Duathlon team in 2016.
His results include:
2014:World Age Group Duathlon Champion (sprint) held in Pontevedra, Spain.
2015:Silver medallist at the European Age Group Championships (sprint), also in Spain.
2015:English National Duathlon Champion (standard).
2015:World Age Group Duathlon Champion (sprint) held in Adelaide, Australia
2016: GB Elite Duathlete in the European championships in Germany and the World Championships in Spain (finishing in 10th place, the highest British competitor.)
2017: World Age Group Duathlon Champion (sprint) held in Penticton, Canada
2018: England Cross Country team in Home International


Carl is a member of Morpeth Harriers and competes for them over a variety of distances. He trains regularly with both Morpeth and Alnwick Harriers.
Carl gained his Level 3 Diploma in Personal Training from the University of Bath in 2015 and is a member of the Register of Exercise Professionals..

Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instruction (Gym-based)
Level 3 Award in Nutrition for Physical Activity
First Aid certificate
FK Pro Suspension Training Instructor Qualification

He has a wealth of personal experience of training and competing at a very high level in the disciplines of cycling and running. He will be able to draw on this experience and utilise it when working with clients as a Personal Trainer.
