Together with advertising pressures from multi-national food companies, it is hardly surprising that our approach to food has lost it’s way. Approximately two-thirds of all adults in the UK are overweight and one-third are obese (defined as having a Body Mass Index of over 25 and over 30 respectively). And the problem is getting worse – in 2017 40% of 16-24 year olds are overweight or obese and can expect to live shorter lives than their parents. Currently 10% of the NHS budget is spent on treating diabetes, which in adults is related to obesity.

Fast food at it’s worst

At Physicality our Personal Trainers can advise on healthy eating following the government guidelines.
